Drug Uses

Doxycycline is used to treat a wide array of infections caused by bacteria including chronic prostatitis, sinusitis, syphilis, Chlamydia, acne amongst others. It is also used to slow the progress of anthrax in the body after exposure to the bacteria.

Usage

It is recommended that you do not take Doxycycline right after a meal or along with it. You may take it an hour before meal or at least 2 hours after it. Do not combine it with antacids. Use it for the full course of treatment even if you feel better in a few days.

Missed Dose

In case of a missed dose, always take the time before the next scheduled dosage into consideration. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the Missed Dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. However, never take a double dose together.

Storage

Store it at room temperature and avoid direct exposure to light and moisture.

Overdose

While the symptoms of an overdose are not known, it is recommended that you seek medical attention immediately in case of a suspected overdose.

More Information

Use only if prescribed and as directed by your doctor.
